The decor & vibe is coastal living culture. The food was delicious and the service was friendly & professional.

Food, service and presentation were great. Staff super friendly and welcoming ! My mom and I was super grateful for one of the staff members that gave us recommendations for places around the area to visit since we were visiting from NYC.

We visited the charming local restaurant on a sunny Sunday morning and, despite a 40-minute wait, the experience was well worth it. Once seated outside, the ambiance was delightful, with the warm sunlight enhancing the relaxed, inviting setting. The food was a highlight, starting with the steak, which was cooked to perfection--juicy on the inside with a beautifully seared exterior, seasoned just right to accentuate the natural flavors of the meat. The pancakes were fluffy and light, served with a drizzle of maple syrup that provided the perfect touch of sweetness. The blue smoothie bowl was not only a treat for photos but also for the palate, with its vibrant blend of berries and smooth, creamy texture, topped with a sprinkle of crunchy granola. Overall, the combination of the welcoming ambiance, attentive service, and exquisitely flavorful dishes made our Sunday morning visit a memorable one. We left already planning our next visit back to this delightful spot.

Nice patio in the heart of Venice Beach. Very attentive staff. Food was delicious albeit small portions for the price. Enjoyed everything.

When in MDR you must try the Great White. This nouveau cafe offers good food, great service and a trendy ambiance. People watching is fun too as you are right next to Venice. We had the fish tacos and crispy checked sandwich. The chicken sandwich was the best of the two. Moist chicken inside with a lovely crisp coating and great slaw! The tortilla-less tacos really needed a chewy blue tortilla to impress.

Finally came for dinner and it was great. Super cozy vibe and great food - we got the mushroom fries, brussel sprouts, chicken ceasar salad, and the diavola pizza (my fav). We didn't have alcohol tonight so I tried their Arnold Palmer which was pretty tasty.

Great White is one of my go-to brunch/lunch spots on the Westside! Although it is always a bit of a wait (they don't take reservations before dinnertime), I always stop by Menotti's Coffee Stop just down the street and walk around the beach so it isn't too bad of a wait. I've tried most of their brunch menu over the years, and would definitely recommend their blue smoothie bowl, breakfast sandwich, and breakfast burrito. Today I ordered the diavola pizza (spicy salami, chili oil, and honey--to die for) and the crispy chicken sandwich (incredible balance of flavors, especially the pickled jalapenos) to share, and it was a great amount of food for 2 people. The food comes out very fast and the service is always super helpful. The drinks are phenomenal but a little pricey. I recommend the GW spritz and the agua vida (the agua vida is STRONG). I would definitely suggest paying with the app InKind, as they always have some kind of special going on and you can get money off your bill. Overall, it's a very aesthetically pleasing spot with great food that I love returning to again and again.

You can taste the quality ingredients, and that's something I'm willing to pay for. Since it's Venice, the price is reasonable. See receipt photo attached. With respect to the blue algae smoothie bowl ($14), it was a great breakfast to have, but if you're expecting something special in the flavor from the blue algae then you will be disappointed. It was just like eating an acai bowl. See photo below. The salmon mezze ($22) was light, tasty and a good meal to have for breakfast. I appreciated the herb variety that they mixed together to make the salad. I wish I had more bread to eat my salmon with but alas you can never have enough bread in my eyes. See photo below. Overall, I will definitely return if I'm in the area. The restaurant is clean, in an excellent location and the food is good. p.s. If you want to place a pick-up order like we did you can't speak to a live person on the phone. The voice recording instructs you to download their app and order online (which is an inconvenience since we had questions we wanted to ask related to the food). Nevertheless, we did place an order online but through their website. Their website collected the usual data and be warned that it is super inconvenient to select your birth year because it make you do it by month so we just went back to only 2023 and then placed our order to avoid spending an eternity clicking all the way back to the end of the 20th century.

Such a fun Venice beach type experience. We got there at 1 o'clock on a weekday put our name in, and we're told we had about a 10 minute wait immediately after we put our name in at least 15 to 20 people came so we were really lucky. They have indoor and outdoor seating. And on a beautiful day sitting outside was perfect. They do have heaters also we had a very sweet was a bit overworked. Because a little while to place our order and get more water but otherwise it was great. We started with a slice of banana bread a couple of coffees and then had lunch. The ceviche was delicious as the fish tacos. Fun vibe. I used an app called in kind and was able to get $35 off a $100 purchase.
